Aeronca Sedan CG-UBW

 

Mike Masek and I bought this Aeronca Sedan in the mid-1970s. It had a Franklin 150 hp six cylinder engine and cruised about 100 miles per hour. It had crosswind landing gear. If I recall it could land and take-off with up to 20 or 30 degrees of crab. The main gear would caster in a crosswind, it was pretty interesting to fly. The gear would go pigeon toed if you tried to push it backwards, made it interesting at the gas pumps.
